Q, Once registered when will I be contacted?
A. Coaches will be contacting parents the week of May 7th, informing them of the name of the team, and day and time of the first game. Schedules will be available for download from our website at that time.

Q: What are the age groupings?
A: Please click "Age Groups" to determine which age group players should register in.

Q: What determines a player's age level.
A: Their year of birth is the determining factor. Parents may request their child to play one level above, and in some cases we will be asking players to move up one level to balance teams. Only in very rare instances would a player be allowed to play down one level.

Q: When are the games?
A: Games will be Monday through Thursday nights. We attempt to have as many games as possible on a consistent night for each age group. Past seasons teams have had 70-80% of their games on a consistent evening. Based on 2011 schedules, primary nights were as follows:  Tyke -Monday, Novice-Monday, Atom-Wednesday, PeeWee-Wednesday/Monday, Bantam-Wednesday/Monday, Midget-Wednesday. Schedules are subject to registration numbers, total teams and to ice allocation from the City.
For The Niagara Falls Summer League, games will be played on Wednesday evenings.
For the 3on3 & 4on4 League, games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Q: What time are the games?
A: Games will be between 6:00 pm-10:00 pm. Younger age groups will be at the earlier times. Games are scheduled in one hour slots including time to resurface the ice. There are two periods totaling 42 minutes running time with a 2 minute warmup. Stop time for the last minute of the first period and second period unless more than a 3 goal spread.

Q: How many players per team?
A: 5on5: 15 skaters and one goalie.  (Tyke-Midget)
3on3: 9 to 10 skaters and one goalie. (Peewee - Midget)
4on4: 11 skaters and one goalie (Atom)
Because there is only ONE goalie per team, we recommend them to register early.

Q: How many teams in the league.
House League:We aim for a minimum of 4 teams in each division.  Some divisions have had 5 or 6 teams in previous years.
3 on 3 League: We aim for a minimum of 4 teams in each division.  Some divisions have had 12 teams in previous years.

Q: What is the calibre of the House League?
A: This is totally dependent on the players that register. Normally the league is comprised of keen house league players as well as select players. It is appropriate for Select and A players.  "AA" players can enjoy the league but must take a recreational and unselfish attitude. It is not appropriate for AAA players. Balancing of teams is done to ensure parity within the division. The league offers 3on3 hockey to AAA and AA players.
